Sick Joy Drop Dark New Single ‘Cinnamon Burn’

Alt-rock outfit Sick Joy have unveiled their brand-new single, Cinnamon Burn, the latest taste of their second album, More Forever, set for release on 30th January 2026.

Produced by the acclaimed Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell, Them Crooked Vultures, Mark Lanegan), More Forever sees Sick Joy exploring darker, more introspective territory while pushing the boundaries of their alt-rock sound. With industrial edges slicing through widescreen choruses and jagged synths colliding with bruising drums, the album promises to capture the chaos, catharsis, and contradictions of modern life.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist and guitarist Mykl Barton shares, “A song for the broken hearted, that just don’t know when to quit.”

The album was recorded in isolation at a remote Spanish studio with Johannes, then mixed by Josh “Hoagie” Harrison (Royal Blood, The Cure) and mastered by Katie Tavini, resulting in a sound that is heavier, sharper, and more expansive than anything Sick Joy have released before. Lyrically, it tackles systemic damage, grief, love, and survival with unflinching honesty.

To celebrate the release of More Forever, Sick Joy will embark on a UK and European headline tour in early 2026, kicking off in Birmingham on 29th January and concluding in Paris on 20th February. Before that, the band will join Grayscale for a UK tour this November, hitting venues from Birmingham to London.
