Siamese Release Powerful New Single ‘sense’

Modern metal force Siamese have shared their brand new single, ‘sense’, offering another glimpse into their forthcoming album ‘dissolution’, which arrives on June 26 via Long Branch Records.

The new track sees the band tackling themes of artistic authenticity and the pressures that creatives face in an increasingly scrutinised landscape. According to vocalist Mirza Radonjica, the song explores the tension between honesty and self-preservation.

Speaking about the single, Radonjica explained: “Sense is a song where the truth becomes a liability. There’s a constant pressure for the artist to self-censor in order to protect its business but at the cost of losing all of authenticity. Artists all over the world are being bent out of shape to fit into a lens that fits a collective narrative that’s acceptable, because a few powerful outlets decided it is.”

Interestingly, dissolution is described as an album that Siamese never intended to make, but ultimately could not avoid. Created during a turbulent period that saw one of the band’s primary songwriters depart, the record prompted a complete reassessment of the group’s creative process and identity.

Rather than functioning as a songwriting collective, the band found themselves becoming more unified than ever before. That shift is reflected throughout the album, which promises a heavier, more instinctive and more aggressive sound than anything the group has previously released.

At its emotional core, dissolution explores a complex father-son relationship, making it the most personal and introspective record of Siamese’s career to date.

The album also features contributions from a trusted group of collaborators, including Zachary Baker, Mads Zelasny, Zach Jones, KJ Strock and Paul Spirou. According to the band, each contributor helped shape the project while preserving the album’s central identity.
