Resolve Unveil New Single ‘Smile’ and Release ‘Human (Extended Cut)’

French metalcore band Resolve have unleashed their deluxe album Human (Extended Cut), featuring the anthemic new single “Smile.” Released via Arising Empire, this latest track follows the explosive singles “Molotov” and “Sandman,” showcasing Resolve’s versatility as they explore different sonic territories. It’s a beautifully crafted song that delivers emotionally charged melodies with hard hitting instrumentals and accomplished playing. It’s a testament to their song writing that all of their extended cut releases have been equally as strong as the original release.
Bassist Robin Mariat described the song’s unique shift in tone: “Smile is the most straightforward love song… until it’s not. There’s a gigantic gap between this and the aggression of ‘Sandman,’ but both ends of the spectrum are part of our DNA. This track feels like the perfect conclusion to the Human album cycle, echoing fan favorites like ‘New Colors’ or even deeper cuts like ‘Ignite.’”

Human (Extended Cut) builds on the success of the band’s original release by adding three new singles—“Smile,” “Molotov,” and “Sandman”—as well as a live performance of “The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting.” This new edition gives fans a chance to immerse themselves further in the Human universe, while the original set of tracks remains intact.
Lead vocalist Anthony Diliberto expressed his pride in the extended release: “We’re so proud of this version of Human. It’s a testimony to the last year and a half spent bringing this album to life on the road and through additional content. This version will live on forever on record.”
