paradise fell. Release New Single ‘NO LIES.’
paradise fell. are quickly rising the ranks with their blend 90s inspired grunge and 00s nu-metal aggression put through a modern lens, and their new single ‘NO LIES.’ is another huge statement. The track marks the second instalment in the band’s ongoing ‘A&B’ side release series, a concept inspired by the physical-era rituals of vinyl and cassette culture, reimagined for modern digital listening.
‘NO LIES.’ pulls no punches as head-bang inducing riffs, energy filled drum grooves and crunched up bass lines are met with a gritty vocal performance from frontman Matty, packed full hook-filled melodies, angst filled screams and a chorus tailor made for the big stages.
“With NO LIES. we really embraced having things less polished,” explains Matty.“We didn’t want to over-edit the life out of our sound. We wanted it to feel raw and uncomfortable in the same way the song feels emotionally.”
“The guitars are gnarly, the drums are rough around the edges, and we tried not to edit/clean anything up just for the sake of it. There’s even real trumpets in there because faking them with MIDI just didn’t sit right … everything else felt so human and exposed that it needed to be real sounds, real imperfections.”
“Lyrically, the song lives in that desperate space where you’re waiting for someone to change because you don’t want to let them go. Making a million excuses for their actions. You keep catching the lies, telling yourself this is it, this is the end, but at the same time knowing you won’t be strong enough to uphold your own boundaries.”
Alongside the digital release series, paradise fell. are also planning limited edition CD mixtapes later this year. Each version will feature different track arrangements, instrumentals, and voice notes.
