Nevertel have returned with a new single, “OTHERSIDE”, marking a sharpened, more deliberate evolution in their sound as the Tampa-based dup continue their rapid rise following a Top 3 Active Rock radio hit in the US and an extended run of touring behind their debut album Start Again.
The track is written and produced by the band themselves, with Jeremy Michael (vocals) and Raul Lopez (vocals/producer) leading the creative direction. Built in the aftermath of constant touring and relentless writing sessions, “OTHERSIDE” captures a band leaning into instinct while refining their identity on the road.
Speaking about the single, Lopez shares: “OTHERSIDE is where nostalgia meets creativity… It felt like we tapped into our younger selves and wrote riffs and experimented with guitars a lot more on this one. Sonically, our goal was to mesh early 2000’s grunge with hip-hop/electronic production. We even recorded organic sounds like zippers, crushed water bottles, stomps, and Jeremy beatboxing over the first verse of the song.”
That hybrid approach is clear in the track’s texture a dense but controlled mix of grunge-leaning guitars, electronic detail, and rhythmic vocal interplay that feels engineered for both impact and atmosphere.
Nevertel return to mainland Europe and the UK this summer for a run of festival and headline shows, kicking off on June 10 at Rock For People 2026 in the Czech Republic, followed by an appearance at one of the UK’s largest festivals, Download.
