Neck Deep Celebrate 10 Years of ‘December’ with New 8-Bit Video Game

Neck Deep are ringing in a decade of their track ‘December’ in an iconic way with a brand-new retro 8-bit video game. Fans can jump into the game right now at december.neckdeepuk.com.

Originally released on their 2015 album Life’s Not Out to Get You, ‘December’ has become the go-to alternative Christmas anthem of the modern era. The song reached a streaming milestone on December 1st, clocking 540.8k plays across all three versions – its biggest day ever. On TikTok, the track inspired 48k creations on November 30th alone, proving that its festive appeal hasn’t faded.
The song’s influence even reached global pop royalty, with BLACKPINK’s Rosé covering the track in 2022 during a lockdown studio session.
The release of the game also marks 10 years since Life’s Not Out to Get You hit shelves, a record that peaked in the UK top 10 and spawned hits like ‘Can’t Kick Up The Roots’ and ‘Gold Steps’. The album has since been certified Silver in the UK, cementing Neck Deep’s place in pop-punk history.
To close out 2025, Neck Deep will celebrate the anniversary of the record with a UK tour, hitting their hometown of Wrexham for two nights, as well as Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and London. They’ll be joined by support acts Boston Manor and Anxious.
