Motionless In White Announce New Album With New Single Ft. Corey Taylor

Motionless In White have officially announced their seventh studio album DECADES, set for release on July 17 via Roadrunner Records. The record is available to pre-order now, marking the next chapter in the band’s two-decade evolution from underground disruptors to arena-level heavyweights.
Alongside the announcement, the band have dropped a lyric video for their new single “Playing God”, featuring none other than Corey Taylor. The track arrives as a ferocious statement of intent, pairing industrial-tinged heaviness with a sharp critique of modern digital culture.
Speaking about the collaboration, frontman Chris Motionless didn’t hold back on the impact of the feature: “I can’t believe how aggressive Corey sounds. It’s an observational commentary on toxic internet culture and the people who perpetuate it. The internet has gotten worse and worse to the point where only negativity, hatred, and lies are at the forefront of everything you see.”
He continued: “It’s very frustrating because I thought social media was supposed to be a mechanism to connect, but all it does is divide.”
The result is one of the band’s most direct and aggressive singles to date, pushing their signature blend of metal, industrial, gothic and hardcore energy into even darker territory.
DECADES captures everything Motionless In White have built over their career while pushing into new sonic ground. Recorded across Upstate New York and Los Angeles, the album was co-produced by Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck, and features additional guest appearances from Sklyar Grey and Anthony Martinez of Dark Divine.
Chris Motionless describes the record as both reflective and forward-facing: “We were never afraid to take risks. This band has not only lasted two decades, but we’ve also outlasted all of the obstacles we’ve faced. We’re still grinding.” He adds, “Decades is definitely heavier than some of our past albums. Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance.”
Despite the evolution, he emphasises that the core identity of the band remains intact: “We are never going to abandon heartfelt, emotional, and heavy songs… We’re finding new ways to emphasize those stories with exciting sounds and looks, but the vision is the same.”
The announcement lands while Motionless In White are currently on the road with Bring Me The Horizon, further cementing their place at the forefront of modern heavy music.
They’ll also be hitting the road for a headline run this summer, with a full tour scheduled for July 2026, promising a live show that continues to expand their theatrical, immersive world.
