Mimi Barks releases ‘MONTANA’ feat Yeti Bones of Ho99o9

Doom Trap pioneer Mimi Barks has just dropped a brand-new single and video entitled ‘MONTANA’ and it features guest vocals by Yeti Bones of the American rap-punk duo Ho99o9 and production by Morgoth Beatz. The single which is taken from her debut album ‘THIS IS DOOM TRAP’ (out on Friday 26th September 2024 via Silent Cult) see’s her deliver a powerful energetic rap filled performance as she flits between english and her native german over deep bass lines, floaty synths and trap beats. Yeti Bones adds his impeccable flow to give the song that extra sprinkle of finesse in an already perfectly executed track, living up to the ‘Doom Trap’ label.

Alongside the single, Mimi Barks provides the following message,

“Power through betrayal.

Ambition through hopelessness.

Every tear my teacher and I’m fueled by the hatred.

Great grief births empowerment and this song is the testament.

An untold truth. A restlessness so deeply anchored in my subconscious, a calling so deeply felt that only my mother tongue could translate this reality within me.”

Speaking on the accompanying music video she shares:  “We linked up for this video shoot in Berlin, while Ho99o9 were on tour with Carpenter Brut and Perturbator.”
