Sheffield’s heavy metal juggernauts MALEVOLENCE have returned with a vengeance, unleashing their ferocious new single, TRENCHES. The standalone track showcases the band’s signature blend of aggression and grit, a sound deeply rooted in the Steel City’s unrelenting spirit. This latest release marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Josh Wilbur, whose stellar work with icons like Lamb of God, Korn, and Gojira has shaped some of the heaviest sounds in modern metal.

Speaking about the track, vocalist Alex Taylor reveals: “TRENCHES is possibly the most aggressive, ignorant, and direct song we have ever written,” he explained. “Over the last few years, we’ve been playing more in the commercial metal circuit at festivals and arenas, so we wanted to take this opportunity to remind people that we still haven’t lost sight of where we came from. The lyrics are a declaration of not needing validation or approval, and a rejection of those who never supported the journey but only show their face when you achieve some level of success.”
