MALEVOLENCE Release Video For Ballad “Higher Place”

Yorkshire metallers Malevolence are usually best known for crushing riffs and starting huge pits, however they are no slacks when it comes to writing emotionally charged softer songs and today they have just released the epic cinematic video to their song “Higher Place”. The song is heavy with emotion with singer/guitarist Konan Hall giving an amazing vocal performance dealing with death from the perspective of the one dying – “Ascend to a higher place, leaving my earthly form behind” hits particularly hard. Musically the band are still exceptional, replacing their usually shredding with tasteful plucked guitar lines, orchestral backing, huge rock sections and one the best emotive guitar solos you’ll hear from guitarist Josh Baines. The music video see’s the band performing at a funeral with flashbacks telling the story of death and revenge. The video is beautifully shot and graded and the supporting cast acting is exceptional, which really helps the emotional impact of the song.
