LØLØ releases new single ‘2 of us’

 

 

After a hugely successful 2023 and being tipped by many as one of this years ones to watch, Canadian pop punk queen Lølø is back with a brand new single kicking of 2024 in serious style with ‘2 of Us’. Written about a struggle to cut off a toxic ex, it’s a song that many can relate to which keeps her typical witty charm and gives off an array of vibes with a poppy feel to it but still has that pop punk, thrashy guitar sound we’ve all come to love from her previous work. The lyrics tell a story of not only how the ex is, but the part she also plays of not letting go and that it takes two to tango leading to the lyrics “I must be stupid, I must be dumb, guess that makes 2 of us.”

LØLØ says of the track: “I wrote ‘2 of us’ at a time where I felt very dumb. I couldn’t shake someone who was terrible for me. I thought they were being so thoughtless and stupid, but then I realised I was being just as stupid for even giving them the time of day. P.S. I’m sorry to my fellow emo’s who will be offended by the skinny jeans line…it was just a really good diss, okay?? I felt very sassy while writing this one, so a couple of the lines are pretty funny lol.”

With two very big tours with Boys Like Girls and Against The Current concluding 2023, it seems the Canadian is gearing up for an even bigger year and judging by this single, it’s a case of starting as you mean to go on.
