Loathe Return With Shape-Shifting New Single ‘Gifted Every Strength’
UK experimental heavyweights Loathe have made their long-awaited return with the release of ‘Gifted Every Strength’, their first new music in three years. Clocking in at 6 minutes and 10 seconds, the track marks a bold new step for the Liverpool-based group, taking their sound to new heights and giving us a taste of some brand new sonic elements. Known for warping the confines of metal into something far more fluid, expansive, and cinematic, Loathe have done this and more with ‘Gifted Every Strength’ as its traverses from crushing riffs and unfiltered aggression to softer shoegaze spaces and even venturing into some progressive rock territory with some psychedelic textures and a slick guitar solo.
The track, which has been a regular fixture in their recent support slot on Spiritbox’s Tsunami Sea Tour, has already been drawing fervent responses from fans online — before it was officially released. With ‘Gifted Every Strength’, Loathe deliver a sonically rich piece that sees them leaning even harder into progressive songwriting.
