Loathe Announce New Album ‘A Stranger To You’ & Drop Crushing New Single ‘Revenant’

It’s been six years since Loathe dropped their era-defining second album I Let It In And It Took Everything, a record that didn’t just elevate the Liverpool quartet, but helped redraw the boundaries of modern heavy music itself. In the years since, the band have gone from underground innovators to global heavyweights, selling out tours across continents and commanding major festival stages. Now, they’re ready to do it all over again.

Loathe have officially announced their third studio album, A Stranger To You, arriving July 17, 2026 via Sharptone Records. Rather than revisiting the formula that made them one of the most important bands in alternative music, A Stranger To You pushes their sound into entirely new territory. Across 14 tracks, the band are set to weave together hypnotic psychedelia, immersive synth work, and intricate, unconventional rhythms all while maintaining the crushing emotional weight that defines their identity.

Leading the charge is brand new single ‘Revenant’, following 2025’s towering ‘Gifted Every Strength’. Already a destructive force in their live set, the track opens with shimmering synth textures before collapsing into a groove-heavy, low-end assault. Kadeem France delivers a shapeshifting vocal performance that moves between eerie restraint and visceral intensity, while guest appearance from NOWHERE2RUN (Code Orange member Jami Morgan) adds even more weight to the track’s unpredictable energy.
