LINKIN PARK Release New Song “Lost” & Announce Meteora 20th Anniversary Box Set!

As announced earlier in the week Linkin Park are back today with “new” music.. well sort of. The song entitled “Lost” comes from the Meteora Archives, presumably a song the band were working on at the time which never made the cut to the final album. Hearing “Lost” within this context does feel like you’re stepping back in time, you can picture Chester laying down his iconic vocals with the rest of the band watching on. “Lost” is a nostalgia trip but also a catchy one at that and it brings back those early 2000s memories where Chester’s voice was the sound of a new generation, heavy music was at the forefront of popular culture and Linkin Park were cementing themselves as one of the worlds biggest bands. The accompanying music video for “Lost” has shades of ‘Breaking The Habit’ with anime style animation of the members even depicting them as they looked back in 2003.

Speaking on the release Mike Shinoda writes: “Finding ‘Lost’ was like finding a favorite photo you had forgotten you’d taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself.”
