KING 810 Release New Single ‘Rustbelt Nu Metal’ 

Flint, Michigan’s KING 810, have returned with an unfiltered punch to the gut in the form of new single ‘Rustbelt Nu Metal’, the title track from their forthcoming album due June 2025. Uncompromising, unsettling, and brutally honest, the song — and its video — lays bare the crumbling infrastructure and street-level violence of their hometown, capturing the visceral essence of life in one of America’s most infamous rustbelt cities.

Recorded live on the spring equinox (March 23) in front of a studio audience of just 50 people, KING 810 reject modern production polish in favour of raw, organic energy. “RBNM was recorded live on the spring equinox 3/23 in one day in front of a studio audience of 50. There are no samples, keyboards, synthesizers, click track/metronome used in recording. Give this many listens and many views and we will reconvene with our collective thoughts on the matter,” the band shared in a statement.

The video offers a montage of Flint’s bleak landscape: from contaminated water to violent crime and street-level survival, all amplified by frontman David Gunn’s venomous vocal delivery.

‘Rustbelt Nu Metal’ is just the first in a three-part series. Inspired by the energy and limitations of their equinox-session approach, KING 810 have announced plans to record two more albums in the same live format — one on the summer solstice (June) and another on the autumn equinox.

KING 810 will return to Europe and the UK this autumn, joined by support act Banks Arcade. “It is with pleasure and anticipation that we announce the coming of a few strange and unusual weeks across your continent.
