Hailed as “Limp Bizkit with a bit of a Aussie flavour” by local radio authorities, Perth’s INDIGO BLAZE have the cheeky expression with the carefully crafted nu-metal riffs that make them an excellent find in the world of new music. In a world where 00s metal nostalgia is celebrated and shared widely, it’s the perfect time for the this talented band to step up and claim the spotlight. Catchy melodies and jovial, yet expertly crafted lyrics make this stand tall above the global standard for the genre’s fres interpretation for 2025. To quote vocalist Rhys – “gotta clear my throat to rip a cyclone” – there’s some hard-hitting moments of clarity drip-fed with some of the more frivolous liners that lighten the mood of the track.
Referring to themselves affectionatly as ‘The Blaze”, the bandhave a plan and a vision; with D1 firmly planting their stake in the ground for their signature style: “With D1 we’re really putting a marker down for what is to come with The Blaze. This track is all about having that self belief and showing the world who we are. As always though we do it in the Indigo Blaze way with a wink and a nod lyrically. We’ll be seeing you all soon! Up The Blaze.”
Blending psych, distorting and fisheye lens styles, D1 brings the movement and swagger of the track to life in the official video:
