HUNNY share their new single and music video “89cc”

 

 

Los Angeles alt rock band HUNNY have released their new single “89cc” and accompanying heartfelt and fun music video. The song comes ahead of their sophomore album ‘Hunny’s New Planet Heaven’ out on October 13. “89cc” is a short but sweet track that infuses new wave, indie and emo into a sonic journey complete with a soulful saxophone solo bridge. The song packs a punch as much musically as it does thematically as represented in the music video which stars frontman Jason Yarger as the protagonist and plays on the viral meme: “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” in a quite literal sense. It’s a fun video that represents the expression of devotion and unconditional love, despite his on-screen partner now being an “actual” worm. Check it out below:
