British genre crossing rebels Hot Milk are back and have announced their sophomore album Corporation P.O.P, set for release on 27th June 2025 via Music For Nations. Leading the charge for the record is their ferocious new single, “90 Seconds To Midnight”, which arrives with a chaotic music video featuring none other than British comedy legend Frank Skinner.

“The doomsday clock is nearing midnight, and this frantic song sets the mood for the oncoming nuclear winter,” says frontwoman Han Mee. “We wanted to punch you proper in the face with this—this balls-to-the-wall little riffy boy comes bounding at you relentlessly.”

The track takes lyrical inspiration from 17th-century philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau and poet John Betjeman’s infamous work Slough, blending biting social commentary with an apocalyptic sense of humor. “Rousseau believed humanity would never be free because we create our own shackles,” Mee explains. “Betjeman, on the other hand, took the notion of demise and laughed at it, inviting the nukes in—‘come friendly bombs’—so let’s set the gaff on fire and start again.”

The song fuses their signature passion filled back and forth vocals from Mee and Jim Shaw as they blend stadium sized rock riffs with punked up energy, huge hooks and even a 00s metalcore-esque breakdown.

The video, directed by longtime friend Kennedy, was shot in the band’s Salford backyard. The inclusion of comedy legend Frank Skinner adds an extra layer of British cultural irony to the clip.

“His background with Room 101 (an Orwellian nod) and the fact he wrote Three Lions was a perfect fit for this bleak albeit tongue-in-cheek look at the state of the world from the grey filter of Salford,” says Mee.

Produced by Jim Shaw, Zach Jones, and KJ Strock, Corporation P.O.P finds Hot Milk at their heaviest, channeling raw, unfiltered emotion through relentless riffs and sharp-tongued lyricism. “This record is a flurry of thoughts, feelings, ramblings from the afters, and questions about where we’re at right now,” says Jim Shaw.

He explains the meaning behind the title: “P.O.P = Payment of Pain. We all must live with the burden of modernity, and this pain has been commodified; we all must pay. Corporation pop itself is a term my grandad used to refer to the water supply—something that runs through all our homes, just as current events run through us all.”

“Not saying we have the answers, but the conversation should ALWAYS be open,” Shaw adds. “In a time where the doomsday clock ticks closer and warfare looms, it seems prudent to look introspectively into the human condition and attempt to understand the bigger picture.”

To celebrate the release, Hot Milk will embark on a UK and US headline tour this spring, followed by major festival appearances across Europe and North America, including Slam Dunk, Warped Tour, and Louder Than Life.
