HOLDING ABSENCE release ‘The Noble Art Of Self Destruction’ and drop video for ‘Her Wings’

Today, HOLDING ABSENCE unveil their third album The Noble Art Of Self Destruction via SharpTone Records. It’s an important record for the band which see’s them begin a brand new era and cement themselves as one of the most important bands in the alternative scene. The album showcases the best bits of the Holding Absence sound they have crafted and honed in on over the years, full of heart-wrenching anthems, beautifully heavy moments, huge hook filled melodies and conceptual meaningful lyrics, this is an album that is set to catapult them to that next level. Speaking on the record vocalist Lucas Woodland comments “Today, we are absolutely ecstatic to unveil our new album – the third in a trilogy – “The Noble Art Of Self Destruction”. We set out to write an all killer, no filler album, that was equal parts conceptual as it was personal, and we’re so proud of the results. We hope these songs get stuck in your head just as much as the lyrics can connect with you!”

Accompanying the release, the band have also revealed the video for ‘Her Wings’, a song that lyrically means a lot to the band and it shows. The amount of emotion the band us able to create not only just with the powerful vocal performance from Lucas but also seeping throughout the mix with the guitar tones, atmospherics and drums that feel like you’re in the room with them as they play with everything they have. “We’re so excited to show you today, our brand new single ‘Her Wings’.” Continues Lucas, “This song is close to all of our hearts – a far more Emo song than we’ve ever written before – “Her Wings” is a love-letter to death. Holding Absence, at our darkest.”
