Holding Absence Release Powerful New Single “Scissors”

Holding Absence are quickly cementing themselves as one of the most important bands in the alternative scene right now and with the strength of the singles taken from upcoming album “The Noble Art of Self Destruction” it is no wonder why. The band’s 2000 Trees festival appearance officially marked the end of their 2021 album “The Greatest Mistake of My Life” campaign which took them to new heights of popularity and saw them tour relentlessly around the world. With a schedule as busy as theirs has been it’s impressive that they even found the time to write and record a brand new record, let alone one with as many strong release as they have had so far and the latest offering “Scissors” is no different. Following the beautifully anthemic power ballad of “Honey Moon”, “Scissors” brings back some of that classic heaviness to the Holding Absence sound whilst still delivering on an emotional level. This is the sound of a band with every member delivering at the highest level, from the raw power, tone and character that explodes through the speakers provided by the bass, guitars and drums to Lucas Woodland’s soaring vocals that hit you in the chest with pure unfiltered emotion, Holding Absence possess that special ability very few artists have to take you out of the moment with their music. “The Noble Art of Self Destruction” (released 25th August) is looking set to be another huge milestone for the Welsh group that will surely catapult them to the next level and it is nothing but fully deserved.
