Fox Lake collide hardcore with hip-hop with a nod to good ol’ rock’n’roll
Fox Lake aren’t by definition a new band. They’ve been grafting for a long time to write and perform to the top tier level we see them as today and it’s really paying off. Forever Loud bumped into them in Kentucky last year and thought it was pretty damn rad. This new track “Savior” accompanies the news that the band have just signed to MNRK Heavy (Records), so although this is a currently a stand alone single we have a great reason to stay tuned to 2024.
“Savior” addresses being an outcast, devalued and unable to have your say, and upon watching the video below a definite dig at the currently political state of the USA and beyond. On the writing of the track the band share: “Whether it be from the corruption, lies, abuse of power, or just plain disrespect, so many people, regardless of their political identity, have lost faith in our systems. The belief that our institutions are looking out for us seems to be a thing of the past. ‘Savior’ is a rallying cry for anyone who feels disenfranchised. It’s an energetic wake-up call to confront our responsibilities. We need to look out for each other because no one else will.”
