Four Year Strong drop heavy new single ‘daddy of mine’

Over 20 years in the game and Four Year Strong continue to deliver the goods and today they have dropped a surprise new single “daddy of mine”. The song might be one of the heaviest songs the band have released as they delve into their hardcore influences with rip roaring riffs and screams taking up a larger portion of the short track whilst still keeping that undeniably Four Year Strong sound in the choruses all before unleashing a huge breakdown to finish.

This heavier sound comes as result of the band experiencing creative difficulties when writing new music as vocalist and guitarist Dan O’Connor explains: “Daddy of Mine is about writers block. We had it really bad when we started writing again, and we decided to combat it by writing something heavier and faster than we ever have… Overthinking was hurting us, so we just got out of our own way and stopped dwelling on our own expectations of ourselves.”
