Bedford’s alt-rock shapeshifters Don Broco are back and have unleashed their explosive new single “Nightmare Tripping”, featuring none other than Canadian rock heavyweights Nickelback. The track lands alongside the announcement of DON BROCO’s next full-length album, Nightmare Tripping, set for release on March 27, 2026 via Fearless Records.
“Nightmare Tripping” storms forward on crunchy, down-tuned guitars and sledgehammer drums, built around a razor-sharp vocal trade-off between Rob Damiani and Matt Donnelly. Adding an extra layer of grit and arena-sized weight, Nickelback’s frontman Chad Kroeger steps in with his unmistakable tones in an early contender for chorus of the year.
The result? A track that lurches between fevered screams and a chant-ready melodic hook, chaotic, cathartic, and tailor-made for packed-out venues.
The single arrives with a cinematic, film-noir-inspired music video directed by Gordy De St. Jeor, blending thriller-style storytelling with visceral performance shots. Filmed inside a burnt-out haunted house in Los Angeles, the video also features members of Nickelback, further cementing this unlikely-but-perfect crossover.
Speaking about the track, the band shared: “Nightmare Tripping is the uncertainty between dreams and reality. When the paralysis demon holding you down forces you to confront what you’ve tried to escape by going to sleep, blurring the boundaries of consciousness. In total contrast to that terror, collaborating on the song with Nickleback was a dream come true. Chad and Ryan were incredible to team up with, and shooting the video in a burnt out L.A haunted house was an experience we’ll never forget.”
Since forming in 2008, Don Broco have built a career on unpredictability fusing metal, post-hardcore, funk grooves and electronic textures into a sound that refuses to sit still. Their debut for Fearless Records marks a bold new chapter, finding the band at their heaviest and most nuanced yet. Reuniting with longtime collaborator Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon, Muse), the band lean further into harsh vocal textures, darker themes, and experimental left turns inspired by a world that feels increasingly unstable.
Don Broco are currently kicking off the second leg of their U.S. tour, riding a wave of momentum that’s seen their high-octane, genre-blurring live show pull bigger crowds with every cycle.
In 2026, they’ll take that ever-evolving spectacle to stages around the globe including a major London date supporting Biffy Clyro, plus incendiary festival appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock for People, with more announcements expected soon.
