LA-based alt-punks Death Lens have shared a new single, Waiting To Know, featuring Ian Shelton of Militarie Gun, a high-impact duet that captures the band at their most emotionally charged and sonically direct. Taken from their upcoming album What’s Left Now?, due 24 April 2026 via Epitaph, the track was co-written with Shelton and sees both artists colliding in a rush of urgency, anxiety, and cathartic release. Built on sharp, propulsive punk energy, Waiting To Know balances Shelton’s hook-driven intensity with frontman Bryan Torres’ introspective weight, turning existential dread into something strangely communal.

Waiting To Know sits somewhere between growing older and not knowing if you ever really do,” says Torres. “It’s fear and acceptance sharing the same skin, looping the same question until it stops sounding like a question at all.

Waiting To Know follows a run of recent singles including Power, Monolith, Drown, and Debt Collector, all building anticipation for what will be Death Lens’ most fully realised statement yet.

The new album What’s Left Now? was forged during a turbulent two-year period for the band. Extensive touring, including a nine-month run following their previous release Cold World helped sharpen their live identity but also strained the group internally, eventually leading to a lineup change. The arrival of guitarist Ernie Gutierrez helped solidify the current core of Torres, Jhon Reyes, and Tony Rangel, with the band now operating more tightly than ever.

“Every time we feel like we’re gonna implode, we end up expanding,” Torres explains. “We thrive on stress and the energy of anxiety.”

That tension runs through the record, which blends personal reflection with wider social commentary. Alongside themes of identity, heartbreak, and self-reckoning, tracks like Saints in the Panic Room directly confront the lived realities of immigrant communities in the US.

“These are the struggles that we talk about every day,” Torres says, referencing ICE raids and systemic pressure faced by undocumented families.

Death Lens will head to the UK and Europe for a full run of dates starting in June. The tour includes festival appearances at Kliko Festival, Outbreak Festival, Vainstream, and Mighty Sounds, alongside headline shows across the continent.
