Dayseeker have dropped a video for their new single Shapeshift”  the latest glimpse into their upcoming record Creature In The Black Night, due October 24th via Spinefarm Records.

Frontman Rory Rodriguez shares: “This song is about the anxiety I live with on a daily basis… An open letter to myself about how it shifts and molds me into a different version of me.”

Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182, Lorna Shore), the new album promises to be Dayseeker’s most immersive record yet, eerie, cinematic, and threaded with horror-inspired themes.

While not a concept album, Rodriguez describes the record as having a “shadowy cohesion”, from its grim imagery and dark atmosphere to how each track unfolds like a chapter.

And while Dayseeker are known for their melancholic emotional weight, fans can expect something sharper and heavier this time around. “There was this idea that we’d get more commercial over time,” Rodriguez admits. “But the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.”
