Dayseeker Release New Album ‘Creature In The Black Night’ & Unveil Cinematic “Crawl Back To My Coffin” Video

Southern California post-hardcore heavyweights Dayseeker have dropped a hauntingly cinematic new video for “Crawl Back to My Coffin”, the latest single from their album Creature In The Black Night, out now viaSpinefarm Records.

Directed by Jensen Noen, the video unfolds like a gothic short film, complete with shadowy graveyard scenes and a darkly romantic tone that mirrors the track’s emotional weight. Vocalist Rory Rodriguez describes the song as “a metaphor for love that hurts you when you’re guarded and causes your walls to go up even further… the excitement in meeting someone new when you’re ‘dead,’ only to feel pain and wish you had never left your grave at the end of it.”

The single continues Dayseeker’s evolution into darker, more cinematic territory. Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182), Creature In The Black Night is the band’s most immersive record yet, blending eerie soundscapes, heavy riffs, and a sensual, horror-inspired aesthetic.

While not a strict concept album, Rodriguez says the record’s thematic cohesion emerged naturally: “There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on. It wasn’t planned — but once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it.”

Fans might also be surprised to hear a heavier edge to this new era. “There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial over time,” Rodriguez adds. “But I think the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.”

Dayseeker’s recent single “Pale Moonlight” is already proving their growing impact, breaking into the Top 10 on radio, marking their first-ever charting single.

With Creature In The Black Night, Dayseeker haven’t just evolved  they’ve ascended.
