Coheed and Cambria have unveiled their latest single, “Someone Who Can,” ahead of their highly anticipated album The Father of Make Believe, set to release on March 14th via Virgin Music Group. The song delves into the bands extensive sonic box of tricks and this time pulls out a pop hook infused feel good nostalgic anthem full of beautifully crafted melodies, upbeat instrumentals and slick 80s style guitar work. The new track arrives alongside a heartwarming music video directed by Mason Mercer, offering fans a nostalgic look at the band’s early days in and around their hometown of Nyack, New York.

Speaking on the track vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez shared: “When you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.”

The single follows a string of releases from The Father of Make Believe, including “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow.” Additionally, fans got a taste of something different with Claudio Covers, a collection of reimagined tracks by Sanchez, including renditions of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” and Taylor Swift’s “Welcome To New York.”

Coheed and Cambria also announced an exciting slate of live dates, including a co-headlining North American summer tour with Taking Back Sunday. The 25-date tour, which will feature support from Foxing on all shows, kicks off on August 16th in St. Louis. Before this, the band will team up with Mastodon for The Infinite Arc co-headline arena tour, after performing at the Tool in the Sand festival in the Dominican Republic this March alongside Tool, Primus, Mastodon, and Eagles of Death Metal. In July, Coheed will perform at the 2000 Trees Festival in the UK with Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire, and more.

Fans can also look forward to Coheed’s S.S. Neverender 2025 cruise this November, where the band will be joined by Thursday, L.S. Dunes, The Dear Hunter, Illuminati Hotties, Zulu, and others. Tickets for all shows and events are available now.
