It’s fair to say at this point in their career Coheed and Cambria are legends in the game, having consistently released album after album of meticulously crafted story lines that are packed full of memorable hooks and accomplished musicianship. Now, they have officially announced their 10th studio album, The Father of Make Believe, set for release on March 14, 2025, via Virgin Music Group. The album continues the epic narrative of The Amory Wars and Vaxis universe, following the critical success of 2022’s Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind, which gave the band their first-ever U.S. Top 10 radio single, ‘Shoulders.’

Speaking on the new record, frontman Claudio Sanchez revealed:

“One way to look at The Father of Make Believe is Coheed and Cambria establishing a desire to move forward while honoring a remarkable history. Another: a series of questions, emotions, and thoughts at war with each other — ‘a war within myself.'”

The album will include the newly-released single ‘Searching for Tomorrow,’ accompanied by a stunningly chaotic animated video directed by Anthony Schepperd.

“The song is a reminder that always looking for something better in your life robs you of being able to appreciate the good things you already have.”
