BURY TOMORROW Release Huge New Single ‘Boltcutter’
There’s no slowing down in the Bury Tomorrow camp, fresh from their extensive UK & Europe tour with August Burns Red, the band have just dropped a brand new single & video entitled “Boltcutter” from their upcoming album ‘The Seventh Sun’, which is is set to be released on March 31st 2023. As with previous single “Abandon Us”, “Boltcutter” is a huge modern metalcore anthem with that undeniably Bury Tomorrow sound. The song brings the riffs, the sing-a-longs, the headbangs and the beatdowns, once again proving that BT are still at the top of their game and there seems to be no slowing them down right now!
Speaking on the track, guitarist Kristan Dawson says, “from the second we put the finishing touches to Boltcutter, we knew it had to be a single. Whilst it is a fundamental Bury Tomorrow track, being both loud and heavy, it also emphasises the new era of our band.”
“Specifically, it highlights influences we haven’t necessarily channelled through Bury Tomorrow before, and it’s a pleasure to continue to expand the possibilities of our music. It began its existence through Tom crafting the foundations, with an ambient and electronic soundscape, before the rest of the band provided their usual expertise.”
The music video is a direct sequel to their previous video “Abandon Us” both directed by Matt Sears. Speaking on the process and continuing collaboration, Dawson says: “Continuing the visual narrative with Matt was an absolute joy, and thanks to his knowledge of horror and unique filmmaking skills, Boltcutter delivers the perfect sequel. It’s another video with a visceral and confronting nature, and we feel it perfectly represents the song and its themes.”
