BREAK FIFTY SHARE NEW SINGLE ‘A FAMILIAR FACE (OF SOMEONE I NEVER KNEW)”

Self coined UK Nu-Core group Break Fifty have just dropped a heavy af assault on the senses in the form of new single and video for ‘A Familiar Face (Of Someone I Never Knew)’. The release marks the start of a whole new era for the band as they have a fresh lineup and a fresh relentless sound. The song is one for the purveyors of the heavier side of life as it kicks off with some uncomfortable building soundscapes before bursting into pure downtuned aggression with guitars and drums hitting you in face like a nu-metal hammer while vocalist Angus Roberton’s visceral screams rip through the mix. Break Fifty are here and they’re not messing about, expect to see an hear a lot more from these guys in the future.

Speaking on the themes of the song Angus says: “A Familiar Face (Of Someone I Never Knew) is an expression of childhood trauma. The main focus in lyrics within this song quotes “the end of eternal youth”, This can be taken as upon the instance of trauma it can often feel as if your youth has been stripped away and all joy of childhood  has been tarnished.”
