Fresh from their UK & Ireland arena run with Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens are hitting us with brand new music, however it’s not exactly what you’d expect. Relinquishing vocal duties, Bad Omens frontman Noah Sebastian takes a writer and producer role as alt metal singer Poppy takes the lead with the band providing the instrumentals. The song has a huge industrial metal sound to it with pulsating electronics contrasted by heavy riffs and Poppy’s melodic flow, which have an intentional robotic like sound before bursting into pure unfiltered aggression.
Speaking on the ideas behind the song Noah Sebastian say “V.A.N.” is a “song that started just with the hook, ‘Violence against nature,’ and then after saving the project with the acronym and seeing it, we realized it could be fun to think of ‘VAN’ as a name.
Thus, the rabbit hole of ideas began that led us to decide to write lyrics from the perspective of an artificial intelligence gone rogue.”
“V.A.N.” is taken from the bands upcoming album CONCRETE JUNGLE OST, which is described as an ‘experimental extension’ of their breakout record
