BAD NERVES just pop-bombed your playlist and it sounds ace

It’s rare to catch Bad Nerves singer Bobby Bird without sunglasses on. Maybe it’s what’s channeling the energy of 1000 suns with the swagger of Iggy Pop and the controlled chaos of The Ramones. Whatever it is, it works and it’s consistent. Sharing their newest single ‘USA’ is less than 2-minutes in length but it packs a mighty fine punch of adrenaline, positive vibes and a true signal that the spirit of punk and rock and riffs is far from gone.

Speaking about the track, Bobby tells us: “It’s strangely satisfying yelling ‘United States of America’ over and over. You can feel it stick to the back of your throat. The unparalleled superpower of the West. Yosemite and the green mountains of BlackRock! The American dream and the mighty Super Bowl! But perhaps it’s just the phonetics. After all, Papua New Guinea didn’t have quite the same ring, although it did look beautiful through my computer screen”.

Heading overseas for a European tour this month, before joining The Darkness on the UK-headline run, you might be lucky enough to catch your Bad Nerves fix this year. Otherwise, rest assured, 2024 will see them spread their wings and play around the world.
