Aussie Newcomers Bellwether Release New Single ‘fallingshort’
In recent years Australia has been producing some top tier pop-punk/rock with the likes of Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly and Between You And Me to name a few making waves all over the world and you can expect to add Sydney based Bellwether to that list very soon, that’s if their new music is anything to go by. Their latest single ‘fallingshort’ produced by Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, Redhook) is full of heartfelt melodies, catchy hooks and throwback pop punk and emo elements that is sure to bring in a shed load of future fans. Lyrically the song deals with the unwelcome feeling of not achieving what you think you’re capable of. Guitarist Heath Joukhadar expands on the musical and lyrical inspirations: “fallingshort’ is a pensive, emotionally driven pop punk track that is musically inspired by the works of electronic artist Porter Robinson, with further inspiration taken from 2000’s era emo pop punk. The song is a reflection on the decisions we wish we would have made in the past and the opportunities we feel have passed us by, while maintaining a determined outlook towards the future”
