August Burns Red Release New Single ‘Sonic Salvation’ Feat Jamie Halls Of Polaris
Pennsylvania metalcore titans August Burns Red have dropped a powerful new single, “Sonic Salvation,” featuring Jamie Hails of Polaris. The track is the latest taste of their upcoming album Season of Surrender, set for release on June 5 via Fearless Records, marking a return to the label that helped shape their legacy.
Built on pit-ready breakdowns, towering riffs, and chant-along hooks, “Sonic Salvation” leans into the band’s heavier, hardcore-influenced roots while carving out more space for vocalist Jake Luhrs to deliver a commanding performance.
Guitarist JB Brubaker explains:
“‘Sonic Salvation’ was the first song I wrote for Season of Surrender. I set out to write a song that created more space for Jake vocally and leaned a little more into our hardcore influences. I love how this song came out and Jamie’s guest vocal really takes it over the top for me.”
Lyrically, the song taps into the unifying and restorative power of music, Luhrs adds:
“‘Sonic Salvation’ is about finding power and strength in music. The fact that music can bring us back to a memory, help us decompress from the outside world and how music is what has created our world that is the metal scene.”
Season of Surrender will also include guest appearances from Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada and Make Them Suffer, hinting at a stacked and collaborative release.
ABR are currently on a co-headline run with The Amity Affliction. All dates for the Spring Horizons tour are below.
