‘Let It Be A Void’ captures everything that makes Artio one of the UK’s most exciting alternative acts, a cohesive mix of emotion, riffs, electronics and hook filled melodies driven by the raw power of Rae Brazill’s commanding vocals.
Speaking about the single, Rae shares: “Let It Be a void is about refusing to let other peoples ignorant hatred and detest of their own existence get in the way of mine. If you refuse to see me as I am, then I will no longer expend energy to cater to what you want me to be.”
The track offers another a taste of what’s to come from ‘Soul Rot’, an album that sees Artio turning their focus inward. Rae continues: “this is the first record I’ve done where I look inwards rather than out, dissecting my own behaviour and how I perceive the world in its liminal state of ending.”
Featuring collaborations with Cody Frost, As It Is, CJ of Love Rarely, kahal, and more, ‘Soul Rot’ promises to be a powerful, introspective journey through the darker corners of emotion and identity.
