ArcTanGent Festival 2025 Announces 2025 Additions, Including Headliners TesseracT and Wardruna
Following a sold-out 10th-anniversary celebration last year, the award-winning ArcTanGent Festival is gearing up for another stacked 2025 event. Set to take place from August 13th to 16th at Fernhill Farm, the festival has announced a fresh wave of artists joining the bill.
Wardruna will make their ArcTanGent debut, headlining the festival’s newly expanded Wednesday lineup. Organisers have confirmed that more stages will be open on Wednesday to accommodate this monumental set—without any clashes.
On Saturday, the mighty TesseracT will take the helm as the festival’s closing act, marking the final performance of their extensive two-year tour in support of War of Being. “We’re beyond excited to headline the Saturday at ArcTanGent 2025!” said James Monteith of TesseracT. “The lineup once again boasts some of the most innovative and forward-thinking alternative bands around, and we’re truly honored to close out the festival. This show will also mark the conclusion of our two-year tour in support of War of Being, so we’re planning a very special performance to celebrate this milestone.”
Also joining the lineup are genre-defying experimentalists Clown Core, who were originally set to play in 2024 but had to pull out, as well as Norwegian prog-metal band Leprous. Alternative rock legends Mew will make a rare UK festival appearance which will be one of their final live performances ever—while French psych-rock trio Slift and indie icons Arab Strap will also make their ATG debuts.
Other notable additions include UK stoner-rock outfit Green Lung (in a UK festival-exclusive performance), Chicago post-metal veterans Pelican, Japanese post-hardcore legends Envy (another UK exclusive), and acclaimed singer-songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle.
These new additions join an already stacked bill featuring headliner Karnivool, sludge icons Melvins (in another UK-exclusive set), mathcore innovators Rolo Tomassi, and rising UK progressive doom outfit DVNE.
Fans can also expect exclusive sets from Between the Buried and Me (Colors performed in full), The Fall of Troy (Doppelgänger in full), and We Lost The Sea (Departure Songs in full, plus a hits set).
Festival founder James Scarlett shares: “To have Wardruna closing off the Wednesday night truly cements this as our biggest year yet. If you can make it to ATG a day early, a 4-Day ticket is now a no-brainer. Not to mention TesseracT headlining Saturday night alongside the new additions of Clown Core, Mew, Arab Strap, Envy, Green Lung, and tonnes more across the whole weekend. You’re not going to want to miss a second of this weekend—FOMO is an understatement.”
