Alpha Wolf release new single ‘Sucks 2 Suck ft Ice T’

Aussie metalcore band Alpha Wolf are kicking off 2024 as heavy as they ended 2023 with the announcement of their 3rd studio album “Half Living Things” and to celebrate the announcement they have released new single ‘Sucks 2 Suck’ ft icon Ice T accompanied by a killer music video that goes hard matching the energy of the track. The ferocious single comes as a follow up to ‘Bring Back the Noise’ and they’ve gone all out with this one stretching their sound to new heights. It’s two-step city with drummer Mitch Fogarty producing nothing but sheer quality thumps throughout as frontman Lochie Keogh screams his way through in typical AW fashion. The track offers a sonic battering of hip-hop and metal influence, welcoming nu-metal back to the fold and the transition between the styles just runs so smoothly. The intro to the song is almost acapella like and just unleashes into a heavy breakdown and swinging riffs that instantly make you want to move. The feature of Ice T is as iconic as you’d expect it to be, despite the short part played, his presence is huge! Just wait until you hear him declare, “You coming for me? You gotta come better than that!”

Lochie shares “It’s about biting back at anyone saying you didn’t work hard for the shit you have. If you had the ethic and tenacity, you’d have it too, but you suck so you don’t.” We decided to shoot for the stars and reach out to Ice-T,” adds guitarist Scottie. “We gave him no reference, but he did exactly what we were hoping for! It’s classic.”
